Alan Remen is a serial entrepreneur whose knowledge, expertise, timing and vision has generated explosive growth for high technology products and services companies. Recently, after studying the construction industry and analyzing the fundamental business drivers in the demolition and site preparation elements of the business, he launched the Semper Fi Demolition Services, a business dedicated providing exceptional service to Property Owners and General Contractors. He has a special interest in the hiring and training of Veterans interested in and dedicated to, the guiding principles, governing ideas and ethics he has used to guide his own businesses and his career. His efforts with the Military in Transition assists his partner companies with their staffing needs. Even before graduating from SDSU with a degree in Business, he founded Western Fluidics Inc, a designer and manufacturer of ground support equipment for aircraft and missile systems. Remen sold the company to San Diego based Cubic Corporation during its fifth year of operation after capturing a large contract on F18 program. He then began a career of developing businesses with a five (5) business plan to sell his companies once they have been launched and successful. He went on to found Clearwater Engineering, a pioneer in computerizing the application of liquid fertilizers for commercial agriculture installations and; Enterprise Communications & Computing, Inc. a supplier of high-density communication sub-systems for the telecom industry. He also served as VP of Sales and Marketing for Systech Corporation and Doctor Design, an engineering services company (now a division of Intel). He is credited with assisting Doctor Design achieve dramatic growth - $5 million to $50 million in less than five years and through two acquisitions – first by Integrated Systems, Inc. and then Wind River, integrating Doctor Design’s sales and marketing team with the worldwide sales and marketing staffs of both ISI and WindRiver. During his tenure at Doctor Design, Remen also guided the organization through a dramatic change of organizational philosophy – from one of “any project that makes money” to becoming the world leader in “digital video design services”. Most recently Remen has served in strategic consulting capacities for start-up companies – industrial instruments, medical devices and in the wireless communication space and in establishing off-shore software development capacity.
